News for the Week of February 25, 2015

Haven't turned in any news in a week or two. Not much going on that anybody is willing for me to put into the paper.

I've got a snowman standing guard in my yard and noticed lots of other people do too. I wouldn't be sad if he disappeared soon and didn't show up anymore this year.

My three smaller grandbabies enjoyed the snow a couple of days. Mommy and Daddy took them out to sled a little the first day we had snow but it was so cold they only stayed out a few minutes. Garrett was pretty upset the snow wouldn't stick together enough to build a snowman. The next day was a little warmer and the snow stuck together well and Grandpa and Grandma and Garrett built a Garrett-size snowman. He and Emmett liked it but Makenna was as scared of it as she was of Santa Claus and didn't even want to look at it. Eight month old Caiden didn't get out in the snow but stayed all cozy and warm inside. I think we might take him out and set him down on the snow and take a picture though if it's not excruciatingly cold.

We went to the first game of districts and the Bradleyville boys had a big win. As I write this we are looking forward to watching the first game for the girls tonight. There will be several games this week and we hope they both will play for first place on Friday night. The district games are being held at the Ozark high school gym this year and are hosted by Chadwick School. I hope everyone is able to come out and watch a game and support our kids.

The roads were clear enough we had church at New Mansion last Sunday and it was a wonderful service. A special by Melanie Whittaker, Belinda Wyman and Vicky Blair and then Belinda sang another special. A good message was brought by our pastor, Jeff Marsh. Several churches had to cancel because of road conditions or slick churchyards. Thankfully, you can worship wherever you are.
